TOUR OF THE WEEK – 1 DAY GREAT BARRIER REEF TOUR

The Great Barrier Reef is Australia’s most coveted tourist destination. Named as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, it boasts a stunning coral landscape filled with colourful sea life and breath-taking scenery. The many islands it holds within its clutches and the numerous dive spots make it the perfect place for a day trip.

Our Great Barrier Reef Tours expose you to the incredible underwater world and teach you about the many different facets of the reef – from habitats and history, to conservation and what the future holds.

The Early Bird Gets the Worm
We start early at 7.30am so you can get a full day’s worth of viewing under your belt, and there’s no better way to kick start your Great Barrier Reef adventure than with a light breakfast. We’ll serve up platters of fruit, tea, and coffee to get you going, before we head to the Outer Reef, one of the most magical parts of this natural phenomenon.

Learn the Ropes
As we glide through the incredible backdrop of pristine blue waters and paradise shorelines,
you’ll learn all about snorkelling and diving equipment from our experts, so that when we arrive at the first site, Hastings Reef, you’re all set to go without any hanging around.
Here, you’ll get to dip below the sea’s surface and marvel at a whole new world that opens up below water level. This area is known for its captivating marine life and you can get up close and personal with a range of majestic creatures using the free equipment provided. You can also take a tour on a glass-bottomed boat or take a beginner’s dive – don’t worry, you don’t have to have any previous experience to join in the fun.
By lunchtime, all that exploring will have whipped up an appetite, so we’ll provide a delicious barbecue on board the boat to refuel before the afternoon’s adventures. These take place as Breaking Patches, a serene expanse of shallow lagoons home to all manner of turtles.

The Great Barrier Reef for Kids
This trip is perfect for all the family. Children can enjoy the optional extras aimed at younger members of the family, whilst learning important information about the reef as a habitat for marine life. For the less-experience swimmers, there’s an option to take a tour on a glass-bottomed boat where little ones can view the majestic sea life from a safe place. But, for the more adventurous youngsters, we provide flotation devices so they can get out there and immerse themselves in this incredible part of the world.
